My Ship and I

I've been working on memorizing My Ship and I.  My favorite verse is the second:
For I need to grow a little as the dolly at the helm,
And the dolly I intend to come alive;
And with him beside to help me, it's a-sailing I shall go,
It's a-sailing on the water, when the jolly breezes blow,
And the vessel goes a divie-divie-dive.

I get to do a chapter review test in Math tomorrow.
I drew a still life at art about tools.
I read to my brothers every time we do school.

April 28

I had a chapter test for math and got 83%.  I also started memorizing "times 5".
I had to do all my spelling words this week because I didn't know them for the pretest.
I helped Derek with ABC's and his numbers.  I also read to James from the Ocean book, because we saw fish in Okinawa.
I memorized Psalm 46:10, and the first verse of My Ship and I.
I read Cinderella to my mom.  It was hard but fun.

March 31

The We learned about the ISS, International Space Station, this week.  We learned that when you cry on the ISS it just stays where it is, instead of dropping off.  You need a fan (like a vacuum) to suck up your poop and pee because if you didn't have the fan it would fly everywhere.
And this is what I made for art.  It's special black paper that if you scratch it it'll turn white.  My drawing is of some bad guys and good guys trying to take over the world.

March 24

Last week for school we only had 2 days because it was my brothers birthdays.  

For math I started measuring with meters and centimeters.  I got to measure a door, bed, book, chair and computer.  

I got a 100% on my spelling test.  My hardest word was they're.

I wrote a paragraph on my house.  I started one on having a cat in my car and he was doing really bad things in the car.

Here's my paragraph:

     I have a beautiful house.  It is a really big house.  It has 4 bedrooms.  I feel happy in my house.  I love it but I have to go.

My favorite thing my family school was learning about the moon.  I'm drawing the moon everyday for a month to show how it changes.  We're also going to buy Oreos when we go to the base and make moon out of them.

This week for spelling I got 5 wrong on my pretest, so I practiced 5 words.  On the test I got them all right except for cent.
I practiced my printing, piano, guitar, and wrap-ups.
In math we did multiplication with 2s, 5s, and 10s.  I made some cool problems for my mom and dad.
For writing I worked on paragraphs.
In Family School my favorite was coloring the outer four planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.  Here's the poem I learned about space: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars; Jupiter, Saturn, lots of stars; Uranus, Neptune now we're done; studying space is lots of fun.
